Golf Course Says
Blankney Golf Club is a fine example of the best of British parkland golf, 18 wonderful holes stretching over 6600 yards of the scenic Lincolnshire countryside. The course was opened in 1902 and extended to 18 holes around the time of the Second World War when it was enjoyed by the RAF personnel who were stationed all over the county. By the 1960 the course was struggling to attract members with many people put off by the livestock that continued to graze on the fairways. Thankfully the cattle were moved on and today Blankney Golf Club thrives. The golf architect Cameron Sinclair made a number of changes to the course in the 1980's and helped turn it into the challenging but memorable par 72 that visitors are welcome to enjoy today. Blankney Golf Club has a fine clubhouse located within the village itself.
