Our 18 hole, Par 71 (SS 71), parkland course is generally regarded as an enjoyable yet stern test of golf. This is testified to by the players involved with the prestigious events held here such as the PGA Europro Tour as televised on Sky Sports, and the Best Western Senior Masters. There is a good selection of short technical and longer holes which circle our central 5 acre conservation area. Water comes into play on 12 of the holes and the risk verses reward debate on each hole makes it particularly popular with more discerning gofers. Due to the naturally free draining characteristics of the soil combined with our dedicated team of greenkeepers, who work tirelessly to keep our course playable no matter what the weather, we were recently voted a Top 10 Winter Course by Today’s Golfer. Therefore, there is a very good chance that our course is open and playable when many other courses have had to close. Even trolley bans are an extremely rare occurrence here at Ufford Park. We have extensive practise facilities including a luxurious two tier 32 bay driving range. The outfield has been sculptured to provide a more realistic playing environment, all the bays are undercover and floodlit until 8.30pm everyday. Many of the bays also have heaters. For these reasons we were recently voted in the Top 10 Driving Ranges in Britain by Today’s Golfer Magazine. We also have a large 27 hole putting green and a 5 hole practise academy for novices to the game. Help is also close at hand with the expert PGA professionals at the on-site Doctorgolf Teaching Academy. They offer everything from a running repair to get you round the course more effectively today right through to rebuilding your swing for tomorrow.
