Goswick is a very good, old-style links course. Drive 2 or 3 miles off the beaten path and arrive at club with the entire course out in front of you. A good mixture of side-by-side holes welcome you to the course with relatively small greens for a links course. Take care at #6, it can be a scorecard wrecker. The back nine is a little more quirky, but finishes with a great 5 holes that will test any score or provide a perfect venue for the end of a match. Doesn't have quite the influx of money and membership to make it a true great, but nonetheless, it is well worth a visit.

Berwick-upon-Tweed/Goswick golf course is a top class links course with tight fairways and punishing rough. Goswick is a challenge for any level of golfer particularly when the wind is blowing. Very friendly to visitors and a good menu in the bar.
