The recently opened Aphrodite Hills sits on cliffs above the beach where the goddess after whom it's named reputedly emerged from the sea. Surrounded by protected forest, the course is cut in two by a dramatic deep ravine, which must be carried on several tee shots. Aphrodite Hills has been built as part of a multi-million-pound resort aimed at putting Cyprus firmly on the international golf circuit and is going to be a big crowd-puller, so we suggest you get there fast before the crowds arrive.
