Golf Course Says
Anstruther Golf Club began life as a seven hole course in 1890 and has seen many changes since then including a period during the war when it trenches were dug on the fairways and poles littered the greens to prevent gliders from landing. Now, however, Anstruther Golf Club is a fantastic 9 hole course that provide pleasure and challege in equal measure. The course is laid out along the stretch of coastline between the two fishing villages of Anstruther and Pittenweem and the wind from the sea adds another dimension to the course. The fifth hole holds the honour of being voted the UK's toughest par three hole. Anstruther is a thriving club within easy reach of the golfing capital of St Andrews and is open all year providing and excellent experience for all golfers.
