Alhaurin Golf Club took a while to get going but has settled in and is now popular with visitors and residents alike. Designed by Seve Ballesteros, the course's hilly mountain terrain would provide a stiff test for even the great man himself! The wild growing rough is the main danger here, while the strategically placed bunkers and water hazards are reminiscent of American-style courses. With majestic views of mountains to the north and of Africa and the Mediterranean to the south, this is a fine course in a lovely natural setting.

One of the cheaper courses on the Costa but be careful, they don't knclude the buggy fee and it's way to hilly to walk so you need to factor that in to the cost.
Built on the hills and very scenic but this is one of the most punishing courses I have come across in 15 years of playing golf on the Costa del Sol. Narrow winding fairways with several blind shots. Any ball of the fairway will hit rocks and bounce in the air never to be seen again.
If you take on the challenge take lots of spare balls and your sense of humour.
