Golf Course Says
The Abbey course at the Abbey Hotel & Country Club in Worcestershire is a challenging parkland championship layout that measures nearly 6700 yards (par 72) and was home to the Best Western Senior Masters final in 2006 and is regularly used for county competitions. Originally built in the late 1970’s by the world renowned British architect Donald Steel, the course has been significantly upgraded in recent years with the layout now including many mature trees and lakes although overall the fairways are wide enough and the rough not too punishing to allow you to enjoy your round!
The par 3 7th hole is a real challenge at 192 yards with a green enclosed on 3 sides by the picturesque river arrow, whilst the challenging uphill 13th with mature oak trees threatening your drive will surely test your game if you are to match the par of 4.
The course also provides buggy hire and boasts a driving range and putting green for you to develop your game as well as full teaching and coaching support.
Media Reviews
Todays GolferMake sure you take plenty of balls because water features on eight holes. Following major investment in drainage Abbey Hotel is very often open when neighbouring courses aren't.
