Royal Aberdeen Golf Club Balgownie Links was originally laid down by Archie and Robert Simpson of Carnoustie before being updated by James Braid. Donald Steel & Co are now employed to ensure the historic links remains a modern course. The outward are nine are widely regarded as the best run of links holes anywhere in the world. Balgownie provides a typically challenging links experience with well placed bunkers, a variety of holes, wind and small greens. Royal Aberdeen Balgownie will host the 2011 Walker Cup. |

Royal Aberdeen Golf Course will be in most people's top 5 favorite links courses. It is just superb. Some of the best greens in the country mixed with a layout to match any links course in the world, Royal Aberdeen is as good as they come. The first three holes are just perfect holes and if you get a windy day, you will do well to play to your handicap. Royal Aberdeen Golf Club = great clubhouse, perfect setting, amazing course!
