Mapped By SkyCaddie
A Tour caddie paces every hole, and every green, to get accurate yardages - and so should you. ONLY SkyCaddie® mappers walk every golf course using survey-grade GPS backpacks, marking up to 40 critical targets for each hole - including contours, distances to hazards, fairway targets and layups which may be invisible to laser rangefinders. Don't rely on old aerial photographs - trust SkyCaddie to give you the most reliable information in the game.

Redbourn Golf Club was a pleasant surprise. It is always easy to judge a course in advance based on the green fee and a discount deal, but in this case we were wrong. In very short reach from the M1, the course is an interesting mix of quite varied holes with par 4s of 320 yards through to well over 420 yards. The par 5’s are also varied with the finishing hole being some 611 yards from the yellow tees. Having paid £15 each for the round, the principle revelation was the quality of the greens. Although prone to the occasional bobble (but where isn't after the rain we've had over the winter) they were generally smooth and very fast. It was also nice to see a course use a variety of ways to defend shorter holes. Shorter par 4s had a combination of bunkering, water, trees, narrowed fairways and small greens. We would certainly go back again if we find ourselves in the area.
