Consistently appearing in lists of the best courses in Scotland and the UK the Murcar Golf Club Championship Links is a testing course that is a regular host of national amateur and professional events. The par of 71 hides a standard scrath of 73 (USGA rating 72.6 and USGA slope rating 136) is an honest and demanding example of links golf. The course opened in 1909 with the design by Archie Simpson and alterations have been made James Braid in the 1930s and, more recently, Graeme Webster. |

Murcar Championship Links is a quality link course that was in great condition when I played it. Was lucky to play when there was not much wind but could think that hitting a 3 iron about as far as a pitching wedge is probably a regular occurrence. Was treated well at Murcar Championship Links from the moment I drove in the car park. A very enjoyable day out.
