With a history dating back to 1922 the Lisbon Sports Club is certainly a grand old institution. The course itself was moved to the present location in 1962 and is shorter than many of today's monster layouts that seem designed with only the modern bomber in mind. Despite that the course throws up many a challenge and few visitors forget the particularly challenge 7th hole. Narrow fairways, many tree lined, and an old water ditch running the length of the course simply enhance the challenge. What impresses visitors the most about Lisbon Sports Club is the sheer variety of the holes on offer and the wonderful sense of adventure that adds to each and every round.
