The Kingsbarns Golf Links site has long been known for its intimate connection with the sea. The fact that it's golf origins date back to 1793 is testimony to the attributes of the site which foster ideal conditions for links turf to flourish amid interesting natural terrain. This unique part of East Fife has sandy soils, undulating ridges and hollows, Cambo burn running into the sea, all set immediately against the rugged coastline of the North Sea. Kingsbarns Golf Links is a tribute to its rich Scottish links heritage.

Kingsbarns Golf Links is just a different class! For a new course it has the looks and feel like it has been around for 100's of years. Well worth the money and the trip to play. Should soon be on the Open rota in my books. Kingsbarns Golf Links is one of the best courses you will find anywhere in the world.

I have played Muirfield, Sawgrass, The Old Course, Wentworth... but Kingsbarns is the best. Just an unbelievable golf course. Worth every penny it cost to play. Every hole at Kingsbarns is so well constructed and so visually attractive. Nothing bad I can say about it. Greens are first glass, fairways are as good as anywhere. Magnificent views from all over the course from the ideal golfing location. A must play golf course, I feel sorry for any keen golfer that doesnt get the chance to play Kingsbarns golf course. If heaven isn't like Kingsbarns, I don't want to go there!

Kingsbarns is a very good golf course, don't get me wrong, but it is not quite as great as everyone makes out. The stretch of the back nine along the sea front is fantastic and individual holes like the 7th are very good too, but for me there are too many weak holes to say that it is a classic. It also looks much more artificial than St Andrews Bay along the coast, which has also seen loads of earth moved and the views are good but not great. Great little clubhouse and the changing room has to be experienced. Kingsbarns is definitely worth a play but go with an open mind and you won't be disappointed.
