The East Sussex National Easst Course is a real hidden gem. Right from the start where the stream in front of the green gets your attention, each hole offers a different challenge. The par-5s are very good and the greens are a good pace with some large undulations which can cause problems if you get in the wrong place. There are lots of great holes and the finish in particular is fantastic. Quite a hilly course so you may want to take a buggy, even though the cart paths are a bit scruffy. The clubhouse has a bit of an 80s feel about it, but the rest of the East Susex National hotel and facilties are excellent.
