Some accounts suggest that golf has been played in Cruden Bay since 1791 but what we can say for certain is that the Great North of Scotland Railway company opened Cruden Bay Golf Club in 1899 after employing Old Tom Morris to design the links. Cruden Bay is now recognised worldwide - recently voted the 52nd best course on earth - as a near perfect example of old fashioned links golf. At 6395 yards Cruden Bay Golf Club is not the longest links course you will play but it remains the fair and solid test of golf that Morris and his partner Archie Simpson intended it to be. |

Cruden Bay Golf Club is a bit out of the way but well worth the petrol money. Always in good condition with some of the best greens you will ever putt on. Great views and a friendly atmosphere add to the enjoyment and quality of Cruden Bay Golf Club.
