Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club

Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club was founded in 1885 and has a very strong argument that it is entitled to wear the crown of the oldest course in Wales. The course lies on the River Dovey's estuary and revels in the dramatic sweep of the gorgeous Cardigan Bay - try not to let the panoramic vistas distract you from your golf. Harry Colt was consulted over the design of the course and his input, which dates from around 1945, is clear in the classic links features that you see today. The unique atmosphere of links golf is ever present throughout your round. Visitors to Borth and Ynyslas Golf Club are almost universal in their desire to play it again and again.

What The Media Says

Todays Golfer

A strong claim to be the oldest club in Wales, established in 1885. Hugs the edge of Cardigan Bay and delivers a great test of links golf with rolling fairways, pot bunkers and gorse. Flat and easy walking - a cracking old style links.
