Ashbourne Golf Club is located on the outskirts of Ashbourne village, a market town in County Meath. It lies within a 20 minute drive from Dublin Airport and just 40 minutes from Dublin port. Consequently, Ashbourne Golf Club is ideally located for golfers travelling from abroad. Designed by Ryder Cup star Des Smyth, the course at Ashbourne Golf Club is an 18 hole parkland golf course that measures 5872 metres from the championship tees and comprises a par of 71 (72 for ladies). Not unduly long by championship standards, nevertheless Ashbourne Golf Club, by virtue of its design, is truly a test for every category of golfer. Three man-made lakes complement the Broadmeadow River in a manner that sees waterimpact on 9 out of the 18 holes. Combine this element of the design with a multitude of trees and it is easy to see where the challenge emanates from.
