Aberfeldy Golf Club was founded in 1895 and, until 1995, was a nine hole course which ran along the south bank of the River Tay. In 1993 Aberfeldy Golf Course was extended to 18 holes. The new course at Aberfeldy Golf Club runs on either side of the River Tay and has the unique attraction of allowing players to cross the historic river via its own private bridge, which is listed in the Guiness Book of Records. The course is easily accessible being just a few minutes walk from Aberfeldy town centre. Constructed on the original flood plain of the river Tay, Aberfeldy Golf Course is flat and a real pleasure to play, even if the golf is bad, the views of the river and the surrounding hills are always a pleasure to behold. It is surely one of the most attractive of inland golf courses in Scotland, the par 68 Aberfeldy Golf Course also presents a worthwhile challenge to any aspiring golfer.
