The Red X2, born from the original Red X putter, features a straight in centre shaft with three red dots on the top line behind the shaft that can assist in proper alignment. The centre shaft configuration with the bore positioned slightly towards the heel means the shaft points at the centre of the putter face for a superior look at address. The Titleist Red X putter designs is based on numerous requests from Tour players for a traditional mallet shape with the legendary Cameron craft. Scotty used player input and research from the state-of-the-art Cameron Putter Studio to achieve the optimum sound and feel characteristics, and the Red X has already proved popular on Tour. The high performance Red X models feature a clean shape and profile, a milled Studio Stainless Steel body, and clear anodised aluminum sole plate. The primary performance feature is a soft face insert made of precision milled German Stainless Steel surrounded by vibration absorbing elastomer material, and supported by a cushioned pad for a soft, solid feel. The sole is drafted with slight negative bounce allowing the putter to sit squarely without any face closure. The top line slopes up to create a high toe feature to help ensure the putter is soled with the proper loft and face angle. Typical mallets are designed with a lower toe, yet most players tend to tilt the toe up at address and inadvertently close the face. To create the Red X, Scotty started with a simple, clean and compact profile and added a refined single bend shaft that provides a clear unobstructed view of the ball at set-up. Aesthetically, a large, bold red X complements the industrial machined look of the sole. The sole also identifies the model, weight and material used to make the putter. Red X2 putters are available stock in 35 inch shaft length and has 71 degrees of lie and four degrees of loft and includes a red Cameron Baby T grip. The Red X2 model is not available in left hand. Each putter comes with a black Red X headcover with silver and red highlights and a Scotty Cameron Pivot Tool.
