The Titleist Pro V1 is the business. Llike all the top-level Titleists it feels great around the green and gives great distance off the tee. It is definitely the most durable performance ball around and you can usually get a couple of medal rounds out of it, which is much better than the old Titleist Professionals!

I've always used Titleist balls, when I first took up the game in the dim and distant it was the PTS, then I discovered the joys of the Tour Balata and finally through to the Professional. But this ball (and the ProV1x) are the daddies of the bunch. They just seem that little bit longer, straigher and softer off of every club than any other performance ball out their. I went through a phase last summer of trying a few different premium balls (Callaway HX Black, Strata Tour ace, Wilson True Tour Elite and the Hogan Apex Black) and everytime I did I regretted 'wasting' another £10 - £12 on balls that would just end up in the practice ball bag.... the Pro V's just couldn't be beaten. Easy to control everywhere. My only criticsm is that they can sometimes get a bit inconsistent depending on what part of the ball you catch them on.... I always try and avoid the 'seam' the dimple mouldings makes around the circumference of the ball, if you catch it off that part its a little bit difficult to judge both the bounch and check of the balls. Did find the Pro V1x to be a bit more flighty off the tee but more difficult to control in the wind. Found out after using a few Pro V1x's for a month that they were made of Ernie Els and his 125mph+ swing speed so I guess I wasn't hitting them hard enough to use properly on a windy summers evening !! If you are into single figures or just want to be able to get pro like check on approach shots then invest in a pack of 3.

I've always used Titleist balls (NXT, PTS, Professional) but this ball is in a league of its own. The Titleist Pro V1 ball will make you look like Ernie Els. I've never hit a ball so far in my life and this ball spins crazy. Have 20 yard pitch shot and you'll spin the ball back with ease it's that good. At a tenner a sleeve, the Titleist Pro V1 balls are well worth the money.

These Titleist Pro V1 balls are just superb! All that you could want in a ball- good control, fantastic feel and they seem to last ages without marking or cutting. They should be 10/10 but how can they justify the price? You never see these on special offer!
