Titleist Pro V1 2011 Golf Ball

The 2011 Titleist Pro V1 golf ball provides the exceptional distance and durability, with increased spin control and a more consistent ball flight.

This advanced performance is a result of innovative ZG process core technology, a responsive ionomeric casing layer, urethane elastomer cover and high coverage 352 multi-dimple design. The 352 dimple pattern utilises five different dimple sizes (previous generation had 392 dimples) for more surface coverage and 3 axes of symmetry; resulting in improved aerodynamics and a more penetrating ball flight, which holds its line in the wind.

By implementing design improvements in the core, casing layer and aerodynamics, Titleist have produced a higher performing and more consistent Pro V1. In player testing, Titleist found the 2011 Pro V1 had a tight penetrating flight, particularly in holding its line in the wind, as well as the increased spin control and consistent reaction into the green.

Compared to the 2011 Pro V1x, the Pro V1 will spin more and also features a softer feel.

What Golfalot Says

The 2011 Titleist Pro V1 golf ball is a big design change to the previous model thanks to the different dimple pattern. This is supposed to help it hold its line in the wind more and this certainly seems the case. The spin levels seemed similar in general play to before with excellent control and feel around the greens. Distance and durability were similar to before so therefore the stability seems to be the key benefit and overall the 2011 version of the Titleist Pro V1 is still the ball to beat. The 2011 version is denoted by the 2 plain arrows either side of the Pro V1 on the side stamp.
