Titleist Golf Balls
The Titleist Pro V1x golf ball has a multi-layer four-piece construction featuring a dual core, ionomer casing layer and Urethane Elastomer cover, designed for serious golfers of all levels seeking long distance with Tour-validated feel and performance. The dual core of the New Pro V1x includes a soft center and more resilient outer shell. In combination with the new, thin, softer Urethane Elastomer cover formulation, the Titleist Pro V1x provides very low spin off the tee for long driver consistent distance from enhanced ball flight with a penetrating trajectory. Higher spin with irons for improved workability and improved Drop-and-Stop control into and around the green and softer feel than the prior generation product. Among the improvements to the Pro V1x golf balls is a new Staggered Wave parting line. Every golf ball must have a parting line as part of the manufacturing process. The new Staggered Wave design allows us to more densely pack the dimples on the Pro V1x, creating the highest surface coverage ever on a Titleist golf ball. The combination of the new Staggered Wave parting line, improved surface coverage and dimple dimension changes will provide golfers with greater distance off the tee. An improved, higher coverage 332 dimple design in seven different sizes, along with a new Staggered Wave parting line deliver a slightly lower trajectory than the previous generation Pro V1x for even longer, more consistent distance. The Titleist Pro V1x also has a Tour-validated A.I.M. (Alignment Integrated Marking) sidestamp for better putting alignment.
The 2007 version of the Titleist ProV1x is the third generation of this golf ball and there are some noticeable improvements. The biggest difference is that the ball feels a lot softer around the green and when putting, which is not surprising given that they have put the softer ProV1 cover on in place of the old firmer Pro V1x cover. However this does not affect the distance the ball can go as it certainly is not shorter and in our view could be a little longer with the driver. The Titleist ProV1x is still the best ball in the market for those who need a low spinning ball.

Didn't feel that there was much that difference between the Titleist 07 Pro V1x ball and the previous Pro V1x. This is not a fault as the previous ball was awesome and the one I play with. Its early season so maybe that had something to do with it. The new ball did seem to fly a bit further, but not enough to shock me. You still get the great control, feel and spin with this ball that you got previous. You would not go wrong playing with this ball, but you can say that with every Titleist ball. They are the best!
