The Titleist 910 D2 driver replaces the 909 D2 which we thought was one of the best woods Titleist had made to date. So could they improve on this? Well we think they have with the introduction of the SureFit Tour Hosel in their 910 drivers. The SureFit Tour hosel is a new form of adjustable hosel that for the first time allows the loft of the club and the lie angle of the shaft to be adjusted independently of each other. Titleist call this a ‘tour van in a hosel’ and the advantage of this system is that for the first time golfers can adjust the set up of their driver in way that they do on a tour van. Rather than using adjustability to influence left to right flight the SureFit Tour hosel adjusts launch conditions. The lie can be changed using four positions over a range of 2.25 degrees with each position giving around 4 yards of dispersion with the same loft. Keeping the lie the same and changing the loft through the 4 settings will add around 825 rpm per setting. The best setting for you is determined by your local friendly Titleist fitter using a handy 4x4 matrix that Titleist have put together using numbers a letters that appear on the hosel sleeve and ring.
Titleist research says they expect 90% of golfers to adjust loft and or lie by one setting away from standard. The grid is intuitive so if you want your shots to go higher and to the left then you move up one and left on the grid to get your new settings. In order to increase the accuracy of the fittings changes, Titleist have also improved the manufacturing tolerances for loft on the face and lie angle on the hosel by 50%, which is very commendable. Having been through the fitting process, we can confirm that the results are very impressive as they allow you to get the correct set up and launch conditions for your swing. We would expect most people to get their fitting setting determined when they purchase a club and then stick to it rather than change it depending on course conditions. The Titleist 910 D2 driver has a cast titanium head that features a forged titanium face insert that has a thicker central portion equidistant from all points around the face perimeter. In the D2 this increases the sweet spot by 15% compared to the 909 D2 driver
We found both the 910 D2 driver to be every bit as good as the previous 909 versions. There was a slight improvement in forgiveness from the larger sweet areas and the optimised sound and feel at impact were excellent. We preferred the larger head as it also looked a little more 'conventional' at address. However you should put looks aside and go for the model that the Titleist fitter recommends as that will give you the best results. Combining this with the SureFit Tour hosel and you have a driver which should meet all the needs of the better player.

Titleist 910 D2 Driver - Product Details
Amazing driver, one of the best i've ever played! Have been using the TaylorMade Tour Burner for many years now, I never wanted to change. And in fact I didn't change, my clubs were robbed and I had to buy new ones. I bought the 910 and went to my club and hit a few drives. I found I was averaging the same drives as the Tour Burner, but time the 910 was set in the neutral position. I changed to a high draw (c-3) and ended up hitting the ball 30-40 yards longer (around 290-300 yards). I recommend anyone who wants a bit of extra distance to buy this club, you'll love it!
Simply brilliant. Be very careful with first impressions when you're hitting this driver. I first hit it a couple of weeks ago, looks were undoubtibly good, I really liked the look of the black face, but my first outing didn't really go as planned. My bad shot is normally high and right so I set the driver up in the C2 position, which in theory should keep it lower with a slight draw, but everything i hit just seemed to balloon on me. So I walked away a little disapointed. However second impressions were very different, I changed the shaft for a Aldila Rip 60, which was more suited to my swing type, the difference was outstanding the ball flew of the club face and i was gaining at least 15 to 20 yards more than my previous 909D2. if you're thinking about trying it "GET FITTED", i believe with the right shaft and the right setting this driver is the one. Looking forward to trying out the fairwaywood.
Bought this driver after testing it at american golf cardiff. First impressions count and this driver looked great, felt quality too with the Aldila RIP shaft. Took it out on the course set on the original neutral setting, hit a few balls felt great. Changed the setting to a lower loft and more draw and boy did it make a difference. Had a Ping G15 Driver before, and there is considerable distance change, about 25-30 yards to the good!! Highly recomended, even if a lttle on the expensive side.
Slightly disappointed to be honest. I have always enjoyed Titleist drivers and was excited to test their latest model, but it simply didn't wow me in the few shots I had with it. The look of the club is great, and the adjustability is easy and effective. I didn't have time to play with the various adjustments, but the ball just came off flat and with no real pop. I shall give it a second chance, but first impressions are crucial and their was no love at first sight with this guy.
