TaylorMade 's V Steel fairway woods incorporate a distinctive V-shaped sole design that will minimize turf-resistance at impact, allowing the clubhead to glide squarely through the impact zone without slowing or twisting for longer, straighter shots. Each club is made using the same pull-face method of construction as the R500 Series woods to create a high-strength, 455-steel clubface with a high COR for maximum yardage. The hosel cartridge allows TaylorMade engineers to precisely position the high-density polymeric material used to tune the V Steel's swingweight for the best possible feel.

I was looking for a fairway wood and after looking at my swing and other factors, Kevin from American Golf Discount suggested the TaylorMade V Steel 3 Wood and boy was it consistent on the computer. After buying it, I was a little suspicious and took it to the range to see if the computer was lying so that they could do a nice sale and boy did the 3 wood let fly. It was even better than my driver, easily claiming 200 yards on pure carry. God knows how much farther it would roll on. And it was very consistent, something which my previous wood, a Dunlop, did not give me. It has been a very good buy.

The TaylorMade V-Steel 3 Wood is an excellent, well crafted fairway wood produced by TaylorMade. This is the V-Steel's fourth year out since being introduced on tour and it?s still going strong. Easy to use, great distance and ball flight. Can be used off a tee, off the fairway and from out of the rough and is still great, possibly down to the sole design. Only downside I can think of is it's a shame they don't put the Lamkin or Golf Pride Velvet grip on as standard like they do with the other clubs.
