I bought a dozen TaylorMade TP Red balls from the States a few weeks ago and have tried them on and off since. They are very much like the Titleist Pro V1 balls but go about five/ ten yards further. They spin quite well and sit down nicely and also feel good when putting. I haven't played them enough to make a decision on whether to ditch my Pro V1 golf balls yet but the early signs are very encouraging.

If you are looking to play something other than a Pro-V1, you won't go far wrong with the TaylorMade TP Red ball. It has a long and penetrating flight with the woods and delivers excellent spin with irons. It has a fantastically soft feel, but the skin is very durable. 18 holes with this and I find it only has some minor scuffs, even with my sharp grooved wedges. Is it better than the Pro-V1? It's hard to say and ultimately it will come down to subtle personal preferences, but I find it very difficult to fault so have loaded my bag with them.
