TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC Steel Irons

The TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC Irons are designed with a clean, classic shape that offers the optimum blend of feel, workability, and forgiveness. By incorporating a compact, shallow cavity, the TPMCs deliver the feel and workability of a forging plus a degree of added stability. The clubhead features a thin topline, straighter leading edge and less-cambered sole.

Like the TaylorMade Tour Preferred MB Irons, the creation of the TPMC starts with an exclusive 6-step forging process, which produces a more precisely shaped and finished head that looks and performs beautifully. The sole is moderate to narrow in thickness and less cambered, preventing deep digging. The leading edge features minimal heel-to-toe radius with the ideal amount of camber to cut cleanly and precisely into the turf with little to no resistance.

The advanced groove design on the TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC Irons promotes more spin and control from the rough. TaylorMade’s precision-weighting port is incorporated into the TPMCs, guaranteeing precise swingweights while ensuring optimal and consistent CG location in every clubhead to promote optimized ball flight in the long, middle and short-irons.

What Golfalot Says

The TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC Irons and a muscle cavity design that blends the best elements of blades and cavity back irons. The mid-sized heads came with a lovely satin chrome finish and a mid-sized top line that is thicker than the MB irons but smaller than the CB irons.

The precision weight port 'bolt' looks much better on these irons as it is blended into the styling. Combined with the forged nature of the heads the feel is very good and like most TaylorMade irons they are very easy to hit.

For single figure golfers we feel that these are ideal as they give the forgiveness with and element of playability to shape shots and give excellent feedback.

The TaylorMade TP MC irons are great looking clubs with a solid, heavy compact head. They sit nicely behind the ball and I liked the matt effect look of the clubface. They are designed for better player performance and they really delivered with a great sound and feel from the club face. Easy to hit for the better player market so definitely irons for the wish list.
