The TaylorMade Rocketballz Tour Fairway Wood has a similar size and shape to the standard Rocketballz Fairway Wood, but with a slightly smaller address profile, more open face angle and a toe weighted centre-of-gravity.
Designed to suit better players, the Rocketballz Tour maintains the black PVD face and white crown colour of the previous Burner Superfast 2.0 and R11 fairway woods. The contrast between the two colours aids address alignment, whilst the white crown colour helps to eliminate "hot spots" and glare caused by sunlight.
TaylorMade used a Pull-Face construction to create a high-strength 455 alloy steel face combining a large clubface/hitting area with increased MOI. The centre-of-gravity on the Rocketballz Tour offers less of a draw-bias compared to the standard Rocketballz fairway wood.
The Rocketballz fairway wood is the first TaylorMade Fairway wood to reach the R&A/USGA speed limits, helped in large part to the new sole pocket. This flexible, yet durable, Speed Pocket is designed to improve overall head and face flexibility and increase ball speeds. TaylorMade believe that a better player will gain 17 yards thanks to the Rocketballz technology.
The Rocketballz Tour Fairway Wood comes equipped with a Tour-grade shaft that is heavier and stiffer than the stock shaft in the standard RocketBallz fairways.

The TaylorMade RBZ RocketBallz Tour fairway has a smaller head than the standard Rocketballz fairway which is a shame as the oversized design is what we think makes it so great. However I am sure this is what their better player research says is required and from that perspective the RBZ Tour is a good club.
The face is a little more open at address and the ball flight is more neutral. Unlike the driver versions, the RBZ Tour fairway is similar to the RBZ in looks and sound. The ball does come off lower and the better quality shaft is nicer to hit.
The TaylorMade RBZ RocketBallz Tour is a good club, but as you can see on Tour, most players are going for the standard RBZ version and we would go along with that as unless you have a phobia about larger headed fairways, then we would keep the extra cash in your pocket.
