The TaylorMade r7 CGB MAX fairway woods incorporate a variety of top-level technologies that make them the best game-improvement fairways that TaylorMade has ever created. They share the driver's triangular head shape and the exceedingly far-back CG location in relation to the face that this geometry makes possible. That CG location will prove especially valuable to the many players who have trouble getting fairway woods in the air, because it makes launching a 3-wood into the sky as easy as a 7-iron. Besides that, the heads feature a large, confidence-building shape with high MOI that makes them extremely stable and forgiving on miss-hits. The TaylorMade r7 CGB MAX fairway woods incorporate Movable Weight Technology and three weights, promoting up to 22 yards of trajectory change from side to side, which will help players dial in additional distance and control. Last but not least is SuperFast Technology in the form of an ultra-light graphite shaft that promotes added clubhead speed for increased distance.

The ball just jumps off the face of the TaylorMade r7 CGB Max 3 wood with a long carry. The shaft feels great on off face hits and I can make adjustments that makes the ball move left or right.

Pass. What were TaylorMade thinking? It performs just as bad as it looks. Probably the worst looking club I've hit in years. The head looks more like a cycling helmet than a golf club. The technology may work with this design, but when you sit the club down behind the ball it gives you no confidence and you feel you want to put a paper bag over its head. When you hit it, it is just as bad. Poor flight that just doesn't get the ball out there. Very disappointing.
