TaylorMade Ghost Manta Putter

The TaylorMade Ghost Manta putter is similar to the previous TaylorMade Ghost putters with a high-MOI, but in a more traditional one-piece neo-mallet design.

The new flat matte finish combined with the contrasting black rails on the top of the putter head, helps golfers align themselves to putts easier. The double bend on the shaft of the Ghost Manta provides players with the correct amount of offset with distracting them from the putt.

The TaylorMade Ghost Manta putter features two tungsten weights weighing 50 grams, on the heel and toe of the sole. These weights are designed to add stability to the Ghost Manta and further increase the MOI. The higher the MOI, the more consistent putt's speeds will become on off-centre hits. One further weight is located in the centre of the sole.

The Ghost Manta putter features TaylorMade's PURE ROLL surlyn insert, designed to promote forward spin and help reduce skidding, whilst also delivering a soft sound and feel at impact.

The 33 and 34 inch Ghost Manta putters weigh in at 360g, whilst the 35 inch version weighs 370g, the belly-length 380g and the long version 440g.

What Golfalot Says

The TaylorMade Ghost Manta putter is based on the ghost design but really is not much of a looker as the very large plain top of the putter does not carry off the white paint job with any style. Dare I say it it actually looks a bit cheap and compared to other TaylorMade putters....

The feel did not seems as good as the others in the range and the sound was a little soft at impact and for us there was not much feedback on the strike.

The MOI is pretty high so if you want a large, plain styled face balanced putter then this could be for you but we think even the visually challenged Ghost Spider is a better option. Sorry TM.
