The TaylorMade Burner Superfast 2.0 Rescue is faster, more forgiving and easy to launch. TaylorMade believe that a Rescue club needs to be easy to launch and exceptionally accurate. The Burner Superfast 2.0 Rescue is both, and the contrast of the white, non-glare crown against the turf promotes easy alignment. The club is lighter and features a longer shaft to promote faster swing speed for more distance. The Burner Superfast 2.0's centre of gravity is precision-placed to promote a distance enhancing draw bias.

The TaylorMade Burner Superfast 2.0 rescue club brings all the same technologies into a hybrid club in a range of 4 lofts from 18 to 27 degrees. It features the same white head and black face as the Burner Superfast 2.0 driver and fairway and this certainly makes it easy to align as well as giving the illusion that it’s larger than it actually is, which is perfect for this type of club.
The head is deeper and more triangular than the Rescue 11 and combined with the greater offset we feel that this club will suit mid to high handicappers more. It is designed to be lighter for more speed and the Fujikura Superfast 60 shaft combines with the lightweight head to give you a club that is effortless to hit with a high, draw bias, ball flight.
In our tests we found that offset was a little on the large size visually, but put that aside and you have a hybrid club that is great fun to hit. The sound and feel at impact are excellent and whilst the flight was a little on the high side, the forgiveness was very good and the Burner Superfast 2.0 hybrid was a joy to hit.

For me TaylorMade have got a little confused with the Burner Superfast 2.0 utility as when I put it behind the ball I had to double check to see if I was still hitting a fairway wood! That said they had a solid feel and were remarkably easy to hit so if you like the fairway orientated design they are definitely worth a try.

TaylorMade has done a lot of research into their new white look clubs, but for me the Superfast 2.0 was just ugly. It looks like a club designed by someone trying to guess what clubs are going to look like 100 years from now. Oversized, with a slight offset, and some over the top crown graphics, it looked more like a high lofted fairway wood than a hybrid. It was easy to hit, but came off the club face high and with a clear determination to go left. The Burner logo on the crown felt to close to the hosel, and the overall look of the club just didn't suit my eye. I would think the club could be suited to a mid to high handicapper that perhaps needs some help getting those mid-distance shots up in the air.
