A bit average from TaylorMade. The Burner Steel sits very low to the ground and it is easy to get the ball up in the air, but it is just that the flight is so high that it goes no where. More up than out. It looks okay with the tram lines down the head, which I thought would be off-putting, but weren't. It just doesn't get the ball flying out there with any force.

Only bought this because my bag divider wore through the Grafalloy blue shaft on my old TM 200Steel 3 wood. It was just as cheap to buy a new club as it was to replace the shaft! I tried the Callaway X 3 wood and the Burner Steel, both with stiff stock shafts on the launch monitor and the results were pretty compelling. Got a much tighter shot dispersion AND an extra 15 yards out of the TM consistently. So it's in my bag. Out on the course? Well it's certainly forgiving although it's not the club I would choose if I had to work it around a dog leg. It IS long and reliable and I use it most off the tee when Driver's not a good option. The only real drawback....I agree with the other reviewer....is that the ball flight is very high. More like you'd expect from a 4 or 5 wood even. Into the wind that costs distance. Otherwise it's proving pretty reliable.
