The TaylorMade Burner 460cc driver is very easy to hit and get airborne.

The sound and feel from the head at impact is pretty good and the weighting in the head will send the ball on a slightly higher trajectory than most of the other regular TaylorMade drivers.

The shaft is slightly longer than the standard shafts on the R7 models, which should give you more distance. The closed in face did make it easy to hit it straighter and this feature will appeal to mid to higher handicappers as it will give them more time to square the face at impact.

Overall a good club, but there a better value for money drivers out there in our view.

Bought this driver in 2008 and I hit the straightest drives ever! When the new TaylorMade driver started coming out I traded it in and keep upgrading like an idiot. I just picked up an old 2007 and put it back in the bag!

Always played Taylormade clubs. Bought this Burner when it first came out and loved it. As we do, moved on to newer versions and sold this one. Had much regrets later. The fellow who bought it still loves it today. He refused my offer to buy it back. After much searching, finally found one 11 years later (2017). They hold their value, cost me $145.00. Can't wait for the snow to melt.

I switched to the TaylorMade Burner 460cc from a Callaway FT-i square driver. Why? This club will hit the ball straighter than the "high MOI" Callaway. I'm not much on distance, average drive around 230 yards, but I sense this is a very long driver for me. At around $299.00, it is nicely priced for clubs of this style.

The TaylorMade Burner 460cc sits well behind the ball and it does look good and gives you that bit of confidence to go after it. It gets the ball up, but probably a bit to high for me. If you struggle getting the ball into the stratosphere then this driver will do that easily, but it does not quite give the penetrating flight that I was looking for.
