I brought a pair of these Stylo Albany shoes nearly 2 years ago when I started playing the game again and was really impressed with a) The price and b) the design..... I have the white and burgundy and they do look really nice. Quite a nice broad fititng and plenty of toe room, although had to replace them for everyday use as the backs really agrevated by achilles tendon injuries. The sole inserts were great for about 6 months of golf but soon squished down and got a little uncomfortable. The outer sole is nice and flat and synthetic rather than leather so feels like wearing a pair of trainers rather than work shoes. Two criticisms of these shoes. Firstly the standard soft spikes are useless and I had to replace them straight away. They offered very little grip and were hopeless on any surface except the best greens. And the second gripe is the 'leather' uppers. I cleaned and polished these shoes from day 1 with the best quality leather cleaners know to man (from my wife's horse tack) but a really short period of time (8 months?) the leather on both toes (around the natural fold points you get on shoes through normal walking) split really badly and now look a real mess. I was not impressed. As a cheap pair of golf shoes for the style concieous beginner or as a pair of 'practice' shoes for using on driving range mats or on 'misery-hill' these shoes are fine, but if you are serious about your golf then you'd be better off investing the £29.99 purchase price into a pair of Footjoy Softjoys or Adidas Traction Z's.
