5 stars out of 5 (Based on 1 reviews)

The Srixon Z-Star Golf Ball offers Spin, Trajectory, Acceleration and Responsivesness. The largest core of any Srixon golf ball, an elastic mid layer to help transfer the power from impact to the core and a thin urethane cover mean the Z-Star has been designed to increase distance on long shots and to provide ultimate stopping power around the green. 324 shallow dimples on the cover help promote an aggressive trajectory that will offer optimal distance whatever the weather. The lower trajectory of the Z-Star compared to previous models means that ball speed is consistent throughout the entire shot allowing the Z-Star to produce more distance from longer carries and extra roll on drives. With fantastic responsiveness the Srixon Z-Star golf ball offers the golfer wonderful feel making it the best choice for control around the green and for shaping and working full shots.

Srixon Z-Star 2009 Golf Ball Review

The Srixon Z-Star Golf Ball is a worthy replacement to the Srixon Z-URS which we were big fans of. The biggest difference you notice with the Z-Star is the new cover and dimple pattern. Unlike the old ball there is no visible seam and the dimples ensure pretty good stability in a cross wind. The new Z-Star ball cover is a lot more durable and unless you have some sharpe grooves on your wedge you will find that it will easily last a few rounds. The feel on and around the greens is still very good and the spin from short iron full shots was excellent, with the ball landing on a sixpence even on firm links greens. Overall a great ball and one serious low handicap golfers should consider trying.
