The Srixon I-701 Tour iron is a 1025 forged carbon steel cavity back with a thin topline combined with minimal offset, which is the setup profile preferred by better players. The iron features a unique face press milling treatment and engraved U-Grooves to create spin in all playing conditions. The sole has been designed with cuts in the toe and heel to reduce the turf profile and allow the club to pass through almost any lie with ease. Its center of gravity placement is slightly higher than that of the I-701 producing a penetrating ball flight for ballstrikers who like to work their approach shots toward the target.

Srixon I-701 Tour Irons Review

The Srixon I-701 Tour irons are equally as good as the standard I-701 irons, provided you hit them out of the middle. This is where you see the benefit of that big cavity, as the sweet spot on the I-701 Tour irons is much smaller than on the standard irons and unless you are a bit of a masochist or a seriously low handicap golfer, we would recommend the standard I-701 irons. If you are that type of golfer you will enjoy these irons as they were very easy to shape shots and the feel was also excellent.

The Srixon I-701 Tour irons are a nice looking set of irons that do a good job, but I would go for the I-701's before I got these. Unless you play a lot these irons are going to be very hard to get along with as they aren't the most forgiving and the heads seem to be a bit on the small size. The ball does fly great when you catch them, but those miss-hits that we all have, tend to be worse than what you need.
