What The Manufacturer Says

Srixon Golf Balls

The Srixon 08 AD333 golf ball features a new core, cover and aerodynamics and is now faster and longer than the original, yet with the same great feel and playability. The Srixon 08 AD333’s new Pana-Tetra blended cover combined with a highly resilient, soft Energetic Growth core and a new 333 dimple pattern will provide greater distance for all golfers through improved ball speed and optimized launch conditions. The Srixon 08 AD333 is designed for golfers of all abilities, who will now enjoy greater performance from this latest version. The new highly resilient, soft Energetic Gradient Growth core provides faster ball speed than its predecessor with the same optimal high launch angle and low spin launch conditions. The core’s soft compression also allows golfers with average to moderate swing speeds the ability to maximize their distance potential. The new Pana-Tetra blended cover provides a higher launch angle plus reduces driver spin, whilst maintaining the softness of the cover. This results in increased driver distance without sacrificing greenside spin and playability. The Srixon 08 AD333’s aerodynamics features six different dimple sizes with larger dimple diameters and greater dimple surface coverage. This means that high speed drag is reduced and helps to provide a shallower angle of descent for greater roll and carry.

What Golfalot Says

Given that the AD333 golf ball was Srixon's top selling ball in 2007, the 2008 version has a lot to live up to. However having taken them around the green we found the feel and spin of the Srixon AD333 to be excellent and if you have a clubhead speed of 80mph or more then you should consider these. Srixon say that if you play a Titleist NXT Tour or Callaway Blue then you should consider the AD333 and we agree, as the AD333 probably performs as well as fits in between them in terms of feel on and around the green.
