The Sonartec SS 3.5 fairway wood is a great performing club that is more forgiving than the NP99 and SS 2.5 fairways as the head is much deeper.
When we tested the Sonartec SS 3.5 fairway wood it gave a slightly higher flight than the SS 2.5 and was a little easier to hit off the tee due to the deeper face.
However the flight is still very good and very penetrating through the wind due to the driving cavity. Probably not as good out of bad lies as the SS 2.5 or the NP99, but you can get one of the excellent MD Transition utility clubs for that.
The sound and feel of the Sonartec SS 3.5 was fantastic and it's classic clean lines make this a great club to look at and play with.
