The Powakaddy Touch has to be one of the most formidable pieces of equipment, with it's simple, reliable design and lightweight construction. Now I am not going to judge the design, however what I can say is, be advised to check the main frame welding joints, the actual weld is fine, however on my Powakaddy Touch the metal has split approx 4/5 inches either side of the weld. I would like to say this could be a one off, but, my Powakaddy Touch is only 6 months old and although it has been used at least twice a week since I purchased it, the light-weight metal should not be giving cause for concern after such a short period of time. Don't get me wrong, the Powakaddy Touch is excellent, however like most things mechanical, they are prone to break. In my opinion, if you haven't got a problem with yours, don't panic. At least you have been warned of a possible error of judgement on the designers part, if a metal supporting bracket had been placed around the main frame, then I don't think this problem would have arisen. The only other problem I have heard about the Powakaddy Touch is the handle came away.

Don't buy this trolley: I'm on my second one as the first arrived with a broken spring (that holds the trolley together once it is unfolded). The second has a similar problem: the spring and clip that holds the two parts of the chassis together are cheap and badly designed in my view. As you move along, the spring often pops out or the clip slips meaning your handle falls down.

I've tried to get Powakaddy to take this clear design flaw seriously, but their attitude is just take it to one of our repair centres (at my cost!) and get it fixed. But this misses the point. My trolley is less than six months old and it should not be failing in this way. For the money, this trolley is cheaply made and poor value. I strongly urge you to go elsewhere.
