The new Si3 driver features Ping?s largest ever club head at 340 cubic centimetres. Ping say the state-of-the-art titanium forging technology permits them to use a larger and thinner titanium face to provide maximum forgiveness as well as strength, resulting in longer and straighter drives. In addition, the Ping-patented variable face thickness positions more mass in a central impact area to optimize performance plus strategic weighting of the head results in more square hits. The combination of the Si3 head, shaft and PING-designed i3Ò Lite grip work together to create a lightweight system that permits golfers to swing faster and generate more club head speed. The Si3 driver weighs approximately 300 grams and the Si3 shafts weigh 60-65 grams and were designed as a family with a very defined margin of torque and flex between models. This permits a more accurate fit of the Ping Si3 driver for all golfers, leading to longer drives.
