The Ping Rapture V2 7 fairway wood has resulted from Ping’s development of multi-metal technology whereby the key properties of the various materials are combined to deliver optimal performance. The Rapture V2 7 fairway wood features a tungsten sole plate that makes up 34% of the head’s mass, which results in a centre of gravity positon that ensures a higher launch angle and lower spin rate, which coupled with extra loft (22 degrees) produces extra distance and a boring ball flight. The head of the Ping Rapture V2 fairway has a large, shallow head to increase playability and enhance performance in all conditions. The clubhead is plasma-welded and a machined steel face of variable thickness results in greater ball speed and therefore distance. The crown of the Ping Rapture V2 7 fairway also features the distinctive Double-Rapture alignment aid.
