5 stars out of 5 (Based on 2 reviews)

The Ping G20 Hybrid features an offset hosel design that produces shots with high launch, low spin resulting in a straight, boring trajectory. A slightly shorter heel-to-toe length ensures the Ping G20 Hybrid is playable from all lies and provides a softer crown shape and flatter lie angle for an improved appearance at address. When the ball is sitting down, additional camber and bounce create exceptional ground impact to ensure a smooth transition through the grass. The Ping G20 Hybrid provides forgiveness and distance through a large, internal weight inside the 17-4 stainless steel head.

Ping G20 Utility Club Review

The Ping G20 hybrid utility club has a hard act to follow. We really liked the G15 hybrid as it was the best driving iron style hybrid in the market so we were intrigued to how the G20 version had been improved. Now the G15 was a little visually challenged and despite its great performance it looked a bit toe heavy at address. Thankfully the G20 looks much better and the shallow face and lower crown give you a much more balanced impression at address.

The shorter head looks more compact generally and we think this will appeal to more golfers. What will also appeal is the performance which was excellent from the fairway and the rough. The feel was very good and the penetrating trajectory was higher than an iron but lower than more wood style hybrids.

For those who prefer a hybrid to look and perform a little more like an iron then the G20 will be right up your street and it is definitely worth upgrading your G15 hybrids if you have some. Available in 5 lofts from 17 to 31 degrees the G20 is easily blended into any set of irons and comes with a TFC 169F graphite shaft in standard or a Tour version for a slightly lower ball flight.

I first bought the 23º as a rescue club and at practice it flew out of the rough with ease, then I tried it off a low tee on a 150M par 3 good elevation so not much bounce, so pleased I bought the 20º and works better than my 5 wood the shorter shaft means more control. Today I just took delivery of the 17º hopefully to replace my 4 wood same loft but easier to hit off the fairway I don´t mind losing a few yards for more control....so far delighted
