The PING G2 stainless steel fairway woods come with a new innovation called introduce variable sole thickness. This means that weight is moved towards the back of the club and positioned low to create less spin for added distance and a higher launch angle. The higher the club?s loft, the further back the weight and centre of gravity are moved. Playability is improved through the multi-radius lead edge. Similar to the lead edge technology introduced in the i3+ irons, the G2 Fairway wood lead edge lowers the face surface to improve the club?s movement through turf for more consistent ball contact. A larger, symmetric head shape and an improved hosel position provide visual comfort and confidence at address. The deep face of the G2 Fairway woods increases the club?s effective hitting area for more forgiveness. Each club also includes an alignment graphic on the crown to aid in addressing the ball. The new TFC 100 graphite shaft (S-Flex) is standard in the series. The L-wood offers golfers an alternative to mid-irons.
