Ping's fairway woods have come a long way since the early days and we think the Ping G10 fairways are the best looking design so far.

It's much more classic in shape but the design hides a very low centre of gravity which will get the ball up in the air very easily.

The G10's have quite a shallow face but the width gives you lots of forgiveness and it sits beautifully behind the ball. The 3-wood is very good, but for some reason is not as easy to hit as the 4 or 5 wood and in our tests we managed to get the higher number clubs to go almost as far.

This is because of the low centre of gravity getting the ball higher with less spin, so Ping have actually put a 3 wood shaft in their G10 4 wood as standard so try out both versions before you decide.

A decent club that sits well behind the ball, but the flight you get is just way to high. I found it very hard to keep the ball down, as all it wanted to do was balloon up into the air. Not the best.
