4.6 stars out of 5 (Based on 5 reviews)

The Nike VR Pro Blade is the third set of blades from Nike Golf and a combination of craftsmanship and advanced technology have eliminated variance and enhanced control.

The VR Pro irons utilise a new precision-forging technique that results in a club at a near-finished level eliminating most hand work to ensure consistency and maximum performance throughout the set. Each VR Pro iron face is milled to create a perfectly flat surface following which they are carefully die-stamped, pressing grooves to exact specifications for extremely low variance and shot-making consistency.

The Nike VR Pro Blades features Nike’s new X3X high frequency grooves which result in a cleaner, more consistent ball flight and spin through having more grooves closer together and deeper on the clubface while still conforming to the 2011 USGA and R&A groove rules. The VR Pro Blade features a flatback design and incorporates the same grind and profile as the popular VR Forged TW Blade irons to provide top-level players with the ultimate in feel and shot-making ability. The Nike VR Pro Blade irons come with Dynamic Gold steel shafts as standard.

Nike VR Pro Blade Irons Review

The Nike VR Pro Blade irons are another very classy looking set of blades from Nike. The main difference to the previous Nike Victory Red blade irons is the grooves. The face of the VR Pro Blade iron has more grooves than before but they are closer together, which Nike say will give more distance control. Certainly they are lovely to hit and the feel and ability to shape shots is excellent. The shorter irons are the same as the Nike VR Pro Combo irons from PW to 8 iron. The rest of the set is lovely blades with the same size heads as the VR Pro Combo's but with a smaller sweet spot. However we feel the 3 and 4 iron in the blade set feel better even if they are less forgiving. As blades go they are very good, but this is one for the purists.

Just the look of these irons gives you an impression of their quality. They are as good looking as a blade should be and if you are in the market for feel and feedback then these should be near the top of your list. Great performance and a great sound too.
