Nike Victory Red Forged Split Cavity Irons

The Nike Victory Red Forged Split Cavity Irons have a slightly wider sole and topline than the Nike Victory Red TW blades which allows them to deliver the option of shaping and working irons whilst also increasing the forgiveness offered by placing the centre of gravity behind the sweet spot. The clubhead is made of 1025 Forged Carbon Steel to increase the feel and accuracy the clubs deliver and the milled face ensures ball flight and distance control are consistent. The Victory Red Forged Split Cavity Irons incorporate more offset that the Victory Red TW blades to increase forgiveness further.

Nike Victory Red Forged Split Cavity Irons Review

The Nike Victory Red Forged Split Cavity irons are the hybrid version of the Forged TW blades and they offer everything you would expect from a better players iron. As they are forged irons the feel was excellent and the clean lines of the clubhead gave you a classy look and feel. The forgiveness of the Split Cavity irons was much better than the blades, as you would expect, but the trajectory was very good and it was easy to shape shots as required. Nike have really stepped up to the plate with the Nike Victory Red Forged Split Cavity irons and provided better players with real alternative to the ranges from the classic forged manufacturers. A must try.

The Nike Victory Red Split Cavity Irons were a joy to hit throughout the bag. Recently I've become used to hitting irons which are a lot bigger and clunkier at address than these elegant looking clubs but after just a few strikes with the 4 iron any lingering loss of confidence at losing my "stabilisers" had vanished. They offered consistency throughout the bag and are forgiving enough to install the confidence to "go" for every shot. The feel was excellent and I could really see myself playing with them a lot. Certainly a favourite for me - and I did find myself thinking that with the Split Cavity version as easy to hit as these the Full Cavity set must practically hit the ball for you!

These are great looking irons from Nike and have all the looks of a better players irons whilst scoring very highly for forgiveness. They sit beautifully behind the ball with a pleasing topline (especially good on short shots around the green) and both the feel and sound from the club face are great and what you would expect from a forged iron. Playable enough to easily work the ball both ways whilst mishits are not overly punished in terms of a loss of distance. The VR split cavitys are a serious rival in the market for better players looking for a bit of playability.
