The Nike TW'14 shoe, inspired by Nike's Free concept, has been upgraded for the 2013 season by enhancing the feel, fit and function.

"I train with Nike Free technology all the time… I love training in it, running in it, lifting in it. So I asked why can't I play golf in it?" Tiger said. Well, play in it he did. In his first event with the Nike TW'14, Tiger won The Players Championship.

Nike's design team work to improve every detail of the TW shoe in order to upgrade on the original TW'13 shoe. One of the largest and most evident changes is the introduction of Nike's Flywire Technology.

Flywire is made of an ultra-strong, yet ultra-lightweight construction of high-tensile fibres. In the TW'14 shoe, Flywire technology provides a dynamic and supportive fit in the midfoot, reducing weight and increasing stability in a design that doesn’t stretch over time.

"These shoes provide freedom of movement and allow me to release more power through my swing," Woods said.

The Nike TW'14 is available in Tiger's signature colours: white and black/red, and is also available in a new colour, grey with blue and green (available from August, see image).

In a first for Nike Golf, the TW'14 will be available on NIKEiD. Golfers can customize their TW'14 shoes and choose from a wide range of colours. Additionally, NIKEiD offers either a waterproof or breathable upper and a spike or moulded rubber sole.

The standard Nike TW'14 will retail at £150, with a customized NIKEiD pair at £195.
