Nike SQ Sumo2 Hybrid Graphite Shaft Utility Club

Nike Nike Golf Clubs Nike Videos Read Reviews
3.75 stars out of 5 (Based on 4 reviews)

The Nike SQ Sumo² Hybrid utility club possesses a radical square club head design and incorporates Nike Golf's performance-driven geometry, a design philosophy that has brought moment of inertia to the forefront in golf club technology. Consumers looking to hit longer and straighter shots may prefer the Nike Sumo² Hybrid. It is Nike Golf's most forgiving hybrid ever, allowing the golfer to take full advantage of high MOI in a square geometry hybrid. The Nike Sumo² Hybrid is distinguished from the SUMO Hybrid by virtue of its square head shape with generous offset and extreme perimeter weighting. Using Nike Golf's PowerBow Weighting, mass is positioned low and towards the perimeter, producing a very forgiving and stable head through impact, which results in higher, straighter and softer-landing shots. The Nike Sumo² Hybrid also features the lightweight, multi-thickness Cryo Steel face to maximize forgiveness/distance across the club face.

Nike SQ Sumo2 Hybrid Graphite Shaft Utility Club Review

The Nike SQ Sumo hybrid again features all the square design attributes of the SUMO squared woods, but with more loft, to deliver exceptional stability at impact and produce high launching, soft landing shots. We have to say these are very good out of the rough as the Powerbow on the sole and the wider leading edge make it very easy to get the ball up and out. However off the fairway the Nike SQ Sumo hybrids are not as good as the Sumo irons as the extra weight behind the clubhead sends the ball much higher than the comparable irons. Therefore unless you are the greenkeeper’s friend who spends all day in the rough or have a long iron paranoia, then we would suggest going with the full set of Sumo irons which should give you all the forgiveness you need.

The Nike SQ Sumo2 Hybrids are not going to win any beauty competitions any time soon, but they may be the easiest hybrids to get airborne ever! If you struggle with your long irons and getting them up in the air then these clubs are for you. They hit it high, very high, but on the downside the distance is way down. I tried the 4 and 6 hybrids and I could hit the 4 and 5 irons SQ Sumo irons a lot further, maybe 20 yards. So, not the best looking, but they get the ball airborne and are very easy to hit. Definitely a higher handicappers club.
