The Nike SQ Sumo Hybrid utility club features a Tour inspired hybrid shaping and incorporates Nike Golf's performance-driven geometry, a design philosophy that has brought moment of inertia to the forefront in golf club technology. The Nike Sumo Hybrid, while traditional in its appearance, provides the benefits of increased MOI with the versatility to work the golf ball. Targeted to avid golfers, the Sumo Hybrid has a compact head design with minimum offset. Using Nike Golf's signature PowerBow Weighting, mass is strategically positioned to add a level of forgiveness without sacrificing the ability to shape shots. The Nike Sumo Hybrid face is made of lightweight Cryo Steel that is thicker in the centre and thinner around the perimeter to provide more consistent ball speed and increase forgiveness/distance across the club face.
Average rating for this product from 3 reviews
The Nike SQ Sumo hybrid again features all the square design attributes of the SUMO squared woods, but with more loft, to deliver exceptional stability at impact and produce high launching, soft landing shots. We have to say these are very good out of the rough as the Powerbow on the sole and the wider leading edge make it very easy to get the ball up and out. However off the fairway the Nike SQ Sumo hybrids are not as good as the Sumo irons as the extra weight behind the clubhead sends the ball much higher than the comparable irons. Therefore unless you are the greenkeeper’s friend who spends all day in the rough or have a long iron paranoia, then we would suggest going with the full set of Sumo irons which should give you all the forgiveness you need.
