The Nike SQ Sumo irons should suit the market they are aimed at, but they weren't for me. Far to bulky looking with a top edge you could fry an egg on. They were easy to hit and do get the ball up in the air, just too clunky. If looks aren't everything for you then these may suit.

As part of Nike’s square range of Sumo clubs these irons look exactly like you would expect. With the large and chunky clubheads Nike have at least proved that big can be beautiful. For the mid to high handicapper the clubs offer a forgiveness and consistency that so many golfers spend their waking hours searching for. The feel is fantastic and you really will enjoy hitting these clubs. The trajectory is quite high and the clubs offer beautifully shaped shots. Anyone who struggles with longer irons will find hitting the SQ Sumo Irons a revelation. If you are looking to take a lot of shots off your score then the Nike SQ Sumo irons will offer you a big helping hand. One downside is that the clubs don’t offer as much freedom as you might want and for the mid handicapper looking to take the next step they might constrict your shot making decisions. Overall, however, the Nike SQ Sumo irons offer mid to high handicappers an incredible boost.
