The Nike SQ Machspeed Black Round driver is for those who prefer a more traditional shaped drive and we it think looks very classy indeed. The beautiful round head is taller than the square version and the centre of gravity has been moved further forward to allow better players to work the ball more easily. It certainly delivers performance to match the looks and it is everything you would expect from a better players driver with a great feel, good sound and medium high trajectory.

The SQ Machspeed Black comes with Nike’s straight fit hosel to enable you to adjust the face angle through 8 settings from 2 degrees open to 2 degrees closed. It’s not the most user friendly adjustable system on the market but it is very good at making significant changes to the shape of shot. We think this suits the round version better than the square version and is a useful additional to what is an excellent club. At last Nike have combined the performance benefits of the SQ range with more traditional looks and the lighter Fubuki shaft compliments the dark looks that are the rage these days and helps increase clubhead speed. Well worth trying out.
