If you are in the market for a playable combo set then these are seriously worth looking at. All the forgiveness you would expect from a club in this category and if game assistance is more important than a classic look then these could be for you. I found you could put almost any swing on the clubs - especially the hybrids at the longer end of the set - and you still got a strong high ball flight. There was a surprising amoung of feel from the shorter irons in the set too. A bit clunky for me as I am used to playing with a less forgiving club but impressive nonetheless.

The Nike Slingshot HL is certainly an iron set worth considering if you are struggling a bit with your game. You’ll maybe be a bit taken aback by the size of the normal irons in the set when you take them out of the bag (the shock won’t really go away at address) but when you start hitting it you’ll not only be impressed by the consistency of your shots but also by the surprising responsiveness from such a big club. The hybrids in the set are also impressive – maybe not standouts in a crowded market but certainly fine clubs as part of an iron set. These are the sort of clubs that once you’ve tried them you’ll find yourself wishing you had kept them every time you have an off day out on the course.
